My Review On “Summer In The City” By Alex Aster

I read the book “Summer In The City” several months ago in less than a week and I couldn’t put the book down. Every time I would put it down it would be late at night or 2 or 3 hours later. It was that good.

The 2 main female characters in the book were so supportive of each other. That’s what friends are for when you are adults. When Elle first meets Parker she tells her best friend Penelope and the rest is history.

Years later Elle is a successful screen writer and is house sitting and living at her sister’s apartment in NYC and while trying to forget Parker Warren all these years he is actually neighbors in the same apartment building. Elle didn’t think Parker remembered her, but he actually did. He took her to every party and event he was invited to and always showed her off. She liked that, but didn’t want the attention and still wanted to be unknown in the screenwriting world. He definitely helped her with her career in screenwriting and with her screenwriting block. Still talked to her best friend and made new friends. She definitely had a summer in the city.

I definitely recommend that you read this book before the movie comes out!
