I recently visited NYC during Christmas time and it definitely was magical and a trip I’ll never forget. The weather actually wasn’t bad considering its December and near Christmas. My family and I flew on an airplane to NYC since my brother now lives there and I also have family and friends who live there too. Also my mom is from New York so to her its like she’s going home. 

Every year we go and visit NYC, but that the last several I didn’t go since I would get so anxious about flying and traveling. This time I conquered that fear. The tradition of going to NYC during Christmas time is back. I definitely missed going to New York and going to all my favorite stores and restaurants and everyone that I enjoy going too.

I made a list of what I wanted to do while visiting and about checked them all off except visiting  The Friends Experience. That I will be doing next time. One of my favorite things I did was go to the Starbucks Reserve under the Empire State Building and that definitely made my trip since Starbucks is one of my favorite places and happy places. That store was so cool and so big. It was 3 floors and my Starbucks at home is only 1 store. The day we got into the city after my dad and I put our suitcases in the hotel room we met up with my brother and walked a little around Times Square. Another store I really enjoyed going to was the Hershey store in Times Square on the day we got there. I got my Plant Based Reeses and a Reeses sweatshirt, but when we got back to the hotel I tried on the sweatshirt and it was too small and tight so my dad had to go back the next day and return it. It was the sweatshirt or the Reeses blanket and I chose the sweatshirt. Well I wish that I got the blanket now. I do collect blankets though and have a collection since I was little. 

There isn’t always lots of choices for people with allergies so when I found Gluten Free and Dairy Free chocolate at Lilac Chocolates I was so happy that there was chocolate that I can have since I have such a sweet tooth. Another place was Posh Pop Bakery which is a bakery that carries Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and anyone with a food allergy. I got a Gluten Free and Dairy Free Chocolate Chip cookie and that was good. You know its so good when chocolate is allover your fingers, hands, and face. It was that good but really big. Bigger than my hand good. 

On the day we were leaving I got to see the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and it was awesome with all that dancing and acting. I’ve seen it once before and this time was even better than the first time. In a way I knew what dance moves, songs, and what they were going to do next. But in a way I didn’t and that excited me. From watching Tik Toks the videos showed me how they do some of their dance moves and seeing it in person was so cool and amusing. Hope to see it again next year. 

So many good memories that I’ll always remember and such a great trip. Until next time NEW YORK!
