At what age did you start acting at?
LJ:My very first live TV appearance was when I was three years old and that’s what kick started my career. Then I became a lifestyle model and quickly moved in to commercial work. (In fact, Madisyn, I did my very first infomercial at age 5 with your sister, Brielle, who played my sister!!!) At age six I began auditioning for TV/Film roles, and I now have two SAG feature films to my credit plus 16 short films, 12 industrial videos, 26 commercials, 30+ print jobs and a few TV appearances under my belt. Two years ago, I began my career as a voice artist and am having a blast with that!
My motto is a quote by the famous Dr. Seuss:
Why fit in when you were born to stand out?
What’s your favorite movie to watch?
LJ: Of course, I have to say movies with me in them, ha ha ha, but since those are harder to come by I would say my all time favorite movie is – Real Steel. One of my acting coaches is in this movie which is way cool! And the boy in the movie was totally awesome and was an inspiration to me as a child actor.
What do you do on your free time?
LJ: Well, most people don’t know this but I am a Master Griller. I create my own ribs, sauces and glazes. I can cook just about anything on the grill from homemade mac-n-cheese to crawfish cornbread, potato bombs, grilled watermelon and lots of desserts – even grilled Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
I am also proud to be a Boy Scout and I am working hard to become an Eagle Scout. I’ve earned 5 of the required13 Eagle badges so far. I’m a green belt in Tae Kwon Do working towards my black belt and am a gold medal winner in Sparring.
When I can just hang out, I “chillax” by gaming on my Xbox1 or Ipad and I never miss WWE on Monday nights. Ding Ding Ding!
What’s your favorite project that you’ve done?
LJ: Ugh! You saved the hardest question for last. Let me think…
I’m pretty lucky because I have liked all my jobs. Who wouldn’t? But if I had to pick only one it would be the senior thesis film I did for Benny Davis at the Ringling College of Art & Design called BAZOOKA. The script was soooooo me and it was hilarious! The cast and crew were the best and my mom even cried when it was over because it was such a fantastic experience.
