My Journey With Autism and Anxieties

Hi and welcome to my blog! As many of you know, I have high functioning Autism which is known as Aspergers. Though, I bet you weren’t aware that along with Aspergers, I also have severe Anxiety. This is something I deal with on a daily basis. I am sure many of my readers can relate and have Anxiety issues as well. My family recently moved back to my hometown, so I can have a more successful life and grow as a person.

My dream has always been to attend college. Unfortunately, one of my biggest fears and worries is entering a school and classroom. This year I decided I was going to try to overcome my Anxiety by taking a class at a local community college. Too many of you, one class is no big deal, but to me being in a school is terrifying. I started this journey a few weeks ago and I am actually doing awesome. Luckily, I have a super supportive teacher and a support dog that I have been bringing with me to school. Some weeks are easier than others, but I am determined to complete this class and learn from my experience. So far, college has been quite a learning experience, which I am grateful for.  I will keep you posted on my college journey as the semester progresses.

Another one of my goals is to become more fit and get in better shape. That journey started off smooth, since I work out with a great trainer. Unfortunately, my anxieties got the best of me and I had to miss a few sessions. Knowing that letting my anxieties dictate my future was a bad idea. So with a little extra planning and some accommodations. I am getting back on track with my fitness journey. This will definitely be a long progress, but I am determined to get there.

I am hoping that my blog and organization can help others reach their goals and dreams. Please know that somedays are easier than others, so always remember to reach out for support if you need it.
