I remember this weekend like it was just yesterday. It was actually my birthday present to go to Playlist Live and my first time attending such a big convention like this. Playlist Live is one of the largest Social Media conventions that is held in Orlando. Thousands of people attend it every year to meet their favorite creators and to learn more about the social media concept.
We drove over an hour on Friday, April 22 to meet Bratayley and it was so worth it. While waiting in like I got to meet Sydnastical (Sydney) who is actually a Youtuber and one of Bratayley’s family friends. I had the chance to talk to Sydney and she was really nice. We took a picture together and she gave me an autograph. I thought that was so cool.
The next person I met was Paigique who is Bratayley’s cousin and also a Youtuber. We talked for a couple minutes and she was so sweet. She is known for her makeup videos on Youtube and giving back to the community. You should check out her channel.
After I met Paigique I got to meet Billy Bratayley. He is was so nice to me and gave me the best advice about growing a fan base. We talked for awhile and he was so nice to take the time to speak to me.
After I met Billy I got the chance to meet his wife Katie Bratayley. She was so so nice.
I even got the chance to meet Coach Mary who is Annie and Hayley’s gymnastics coach. She also has a Youtube channel called “GymSchool”.
I was finally up next to meet Annie and Hayley from the Youtube channel Bratayley. I was so happy and I was smiling so hard. I got to talk to them for a brief minute and then took my photos with them. It was a long day for everybody, but really exciting. We waited in line for 3 hours, but it was totally worth it. Everybody was so nice and it was a great atmosphere.
On Saturday which was my first major day at Playlist Live. My dad and I drove to the venue and it was a lot to take in. I got there and waited inside for Andrea who was going to take me to some panels. While I waited I met some cool creators. I was walking around that little area and I was like “That’s Noah Schnacky”! I walked up to him and said hi but he was in a hurry to get to his meet up. Andrea finally arrived and we started walking to our first panel of the day. The panels featured top creatures with millions of followers who gave us their advice. If anyone interested in social media or Youtube these panels are very informative to you. After a couple of panels we went to the main room and just walked around and I of course bought some cool things. By the end of the day I was really hoping to meet Shay Carl, so I went to his panel and was so happy that I was smiling from head to toe and didn’t even want to leave. Shay was entertaining the crowd with KT Tunstall. She was singing some of her favorite songs that she had recorded. Afterwards I finally got the chance to meet him, I introduced myself and we talked for awhile. As we were walking out of the building I saw Noah Schnacky again. This time talking to his family and friends and I walked up to him and asked for a picture and he said yes. We even got to talk for a couple minutes before I had to leave. Eventually it was time to leave and head back to the hotel.
Sunday was the last day of Playlist Live and one of the best days of my life. When I got there I ran straight to the auditorium where Flair was going to perform. (Annie, Hayley, Arden, Katie, Mia, and Sydney) I saw that people were waiting in line to meet someone so I check it out and the line was for Billy Bratayley! So I waited in the line and got to meet Billy again. He remembered me which was awesome. We talked for a couple more minutes. I then was like” Let me see what’s going on over there”. So I walked to where more people were standing and saw Sydnastical’s mom, Flippin’Katie’s mom and brothers. So I talked to them as well. They were all so nice. I watched Flair perform and it was amazing. After the performance I left the room and started walking around the convention center. I walked back to where I was before and bumped into Flippin’Katie’s family again. This time I got the chance to hangout with them for a little bit longer. This was my favorite part of my Playlist Live experience. While we were walking around people were coming up to Brennan and Ryan to take pictures. This went on every couple of minutes which was so cool. I remember Brennan telling me that he is more famous than Katie. I though that was funny. Katie’s mom Jill took out her vlogging camera and started vlogging. She even showed me in the vlog, in the background while I was on my phone. I was like “I’m in Flippin’Katie’s vlog”. It was the Best Day Ever! We then started to walk to the VIP room where they were going to meet everybody so they could start their Sunday meet n greet with Flair. I sat down on the floor with Brennan and Ryan while Jill was getting ready for the next meet n greet. I eventually had to meet up with my family so we started walking to them and when we saw them my mom got to talk with Jill. They were so impressed by me and my blog. We said our goodbyes and we were on our way home.
